Ordos is located in the southwest of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total area of 87,000 square kilometers, surrounded by the Yellow River on three sides in the northwest and east, adjacent to the ancient Great Wall on the south, adjacent to Shanxi, Shaanxi and Ningxia provinces, and governs two districts and seven banners. "Ordos" means "numerous palaces" in Mongolian. Ordos has a long history and culture, and is one of the birthplaces of human civilization. As early as 70,000 years ago, the ancient Hetao people multiplied here and created the famous "Salawusu Culture". In the thousands of years from Xia, Shang, Spring and Autumn to Qin, Han, Tang and Song Dynasties, dozens of northern tribes and nationalities have been nomadic and hunting here, forming a bronze culture represented by "Ordos bronze". In the middle of the Ming Dynasty, the "eight white rooms" of Genghis Khan, as known “Proud son of Heaven”, moved to Ordos, and the Mongolian Golden Family also entered Ordos. The essence of Mongolian culture was gathered and inherited in Ordos, gradually forming a rich Mongolian Yuan culture. Since modern times, a large number of Shanxi and Shaanxi Han people have moved into Ordos, living and working together with the Mongolian people here. Agricultural culture and grassland culture have been more fully integrated in Ordos. Ordos is a very distinctive place with rich tourism resources and unique cultural connotation.
