"Ulanqab" is a Mongolian language, which means "red mountain pass". It is located in the middle of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, governs 11 banners, counties and districts, with a total area of 54,500 square kilometers. Historically, it is an important hub of the Grassland Silk Road and the Eurasian Tea Camel Road, as well as an important commodity distribution center in the North China.

Ulanqab as a rich and beautiful city is rich in natural resources. In terms of mineral resources, the city crosses 9 important geological metallogenic belts from south to north, and more than 80 kinds of minerals have been found. The reserves of fluorite are the first in Asia, and the reserves of graphite are the third in China. In terms of tourism resources, the annual average temperature is about 4.3 ℃, and the average temperature in summer is only 18.8 ℃, which is about 4 ℃ lower than Chengde "Summer Resort". Even in the midsummer, there is no need for air conditioning, so it is a national summer resort. The territory is full of ancient relics, forests, lakes, hot springs and volcanoes. It has Durbert Grassland, Huiteng Xile Alpine Meadow Grassland and Ulanhada Volcanic Grassland. It is known as the "Grassland Museum", which is very suitable for people who have lived in the metropolis for a long time to wash their lungs and take oxygen and stay in the summer. In terms of energy, the effective wind farm covers an area of 7000 square kilometers, with 3200 hours of sunshine throughout the year. It is known as the "Three Gorges in the sky, the capital of wind power".
